The surface and bottomhole location for Well A-3 BP is within Lease OCS-G 10744, which covers approximately 5,000 acres and is located in Eugene Island Block 277 (EI-277) Gulf of Mexico, offshore Louisiana . The lease was issued, approved, and made effective on 1 July 1989 to Sandefer Offshore Operating Company as 100-percent interest leaseholder and operator. On 1 January 1990, a platform was installed and production was initiated in November 1990.
