Notă biografică

Kazuaki Ishihara is full professor at Nagoya University, Japan, since 2002. His research interests include the development of high performance catalysts based on acid-base combination chemistry and organocatalysts for selective oxidative reactions based on halogen redox chemistry. He currently serves on the editorial advisory boards of "European Journal of Organic Chemistry" (Wiley), "Asian Journal of Organic Chemistry" (Wiley), "Letters in Organic Chemistry" (Bentham), and "Topics in Current Chemistry" (Springer). He has (co-)authored more than 350 articles and one book (Acid Catalysis in Modern Organic Synthesis, 2008, Wiley). Kilian Muñiz was a ICREA Research Professor and Group Leader at the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) in Tarragona, Spain. He passed away unexpectedly in March 2020. He was widely recognized for his work on the development of new chemical transformations for the selective construction of carbon-nitrogen bonds. He served as the vice-president of the Organic Section of the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry and on the advisory boards of "Advanced Synthesis and Catalysis" (Wiley), "The Chemical Record" (Wiley), and the "Journal of Organic Chemistry" (ACS). He has (co-)authored more than 150 scientific publications.
