Hamid Farahmandian specializing in James Joyce and Orientalism within Iranian studies. His research interests also encompass Irish modernism, global modernism, postcolonialism, Orientalism, and comparative literature. Farahmandian has undertaken several research projects in these areas. He has conducted a research visit at the University of Victoria in Canada and served as a resident scholar at the Zurich James Joyce Foundation in Switzerland. He anticipates further expanding his international experience by visiting the University of Oxford as an exchange researcher by late 2024.
