HILDA D. SPEAR is an Honorary Research Fellow of Dundee University, UK, having retired from her position as Senior Lecturer there in 1993. She is the author and editor of several books on the literature of the First World War as well as two Palgrave Master Guides on Wuthering Heights and A Passage to India.
