Alan O'Day was a Fellow, Greyfrairs Hall, University of Oxford. He continues to live quietly in the City of Dreaming Spires. His publications include, Charles Stewart Parnell (2012); Irish Home Rule, 1867-1921 (1998); The English Face of Irish Nationalism (1977, 1994); Parnell and the First Home Rule Episode (1986); co-ed., Charles Stewart Parnell and his Times: A Bibliography (2011); co-ed., Irish Historical Documents (1992); co-ed., The Longman Handbook of Modern Irish History since 1800 (2005); and co-ed., with D. George Boyce six volumes of original essays on Irish history.
