Faye S. Taxman is University Professor at the Schar School of Policy and Government and Director of the Center for Advancing Correctional Excellence at George Mason University. Taxman has expertise in corrections, supervision, implementation science and intervention science.
Don Hummer is a faculty member in the School of Public Affairs at Penn State Harrisburg. His research is centered on corrections policy, offender treatment and control, institutional and community violence, and the implications of technological advances for justice system personnel. He is co-editor of four previous volumes.

Justice-involved veterans face a number of challenges in the criminal-legal system, including receiving the proper care and treatment for trauma experienced during their service to the nation. This book examines novel approaches to care for veterans and identifies some of the barriers they face.
