It Ain't Easy, Comandante

"It ain't easy" is a common expression of the Cuban people, and is often a veiled complaint against the regime. Havana-born Caroll Garcia knows this firsthand.

Garcia uses his knowledge to recount the adventures and experiences of two friends, Alex and Henry, who supported the Cuban dissidents in developing the civil society on the island. Belonging to a generation betrayed and deceived by the political outrages suffered by the Cuban people, Alex and Henry renew their friendship when they reunite and reminisce about their youthful experiences-some pleasant, others bitter and full of violence.

The two friends shared an adventure that began in San Juan, Puerto Rico, followed by a trip to Grand Cayman Island, and ended in Cuba after a clandestine voyage through the Caribbean Sea. Alex and Henry participated in extraordinary events that changed Cuba's history.
