The "Victorian Age" provided a time period related to a renaissance in progression of human betterment. It accompanied the development of the "Industrial Age," it opened the way for expansion and acquisition of knowledge which promoted science and the arts. Human medical treatments and general life sustaining practices improved the overall health and well being of individuals. This time period experienced its problems and shortcomings in life, but as this tale of love depicts, life provided pleasantries for many who experienced it. Most people today refer to this time period in a very negative way as being "too Victorian." But perhaps it was a necessary way of living leading to improvements in the human condition. This book may influence each reader and provide a more positive and enjoyable opinion of the Victorian Era.
