INTRODUCTION There are numerous Christians who think life is all about Christmas and New Year. Some see salvation in Jesus as a guarantee to a life free from afflictions at all times. Even Jesus who was God didn't have it so easy on earth. This is because the world belongs to the devil (the god of this world). John 14:30. "The prince (god) of this world cometh but has nothing in me" said Jesus. The devil being God's foe wouldn't allow you a friend of God to go scot free. But I have good news for you: 1 John 5:4-5 says: "For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world-our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?" God has a purpose for your pain, a reason for your struggles, and a gift for your faithfulness. Don't give up on God. Breakthrough is coming soon. Rely on His promises and trust in His word. His Timing is perfect and His Goodness is sure Life's battles can scant you and bang you around and batter your frame till you are all over, but the truth is, you are not finished till you admit it. No one is dead till he dies nor is beaten till he no longer tries. Rejoice with God because your aching heart's pain will bow to the cross at last. 2 Cor 4:8-14; "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal body. So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you. It is written: "I believed; therefore I have spoken." With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak, because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in his presence". The farmer does this for the good of the plant-to bear much fruit. A passerby might rain insults on the farmer for deforestation as long as he is seen removing certain branches. It's same with your life as the tree and God (the farmer). God prunes you by removing unwanted compartments of your life. He does this by taking you via what I call "the oven or cave experience". His purpose is to let you bear much fruit at last. Just stay calm and see your expected end. John 15:1-2; "I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away, and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth (pruneth) it, that it may bring forth more fruit". Stay connected to remain protected.
