Notă biografică

Alan G. Gauthreaux was born and raised in the New Orleans area. Mr. Gauthreaux holds bachelor's and master's degrees in history from the University of New Orleans and has been researching, writing and lecturing about a variety of topics in local and national history for over twenty years. His previous works may be found in Civil War Times Magazine and Louisiana History. Dr. Daryl Hippensteel is a professor of criminal justice at Delgado Community College, where he organized the Criminal Justice Center. He received his PhD from the University of New Orleans. He is a career law enforcement office, starting as a military policeman in South Vietnam from 1965 to 1966, during which he was awarded the US Army Air Medal for valorous service. He is the Louisiana Governor's Representative of the D.A.R.E. program and advisor to many law enforcement organizations across south Louisiana.
