Notă biografică

Born 12 years apart, coauthors and siblings Pamela Ciafardini Casebolt and Philip G. Ciafardini grew up on Spaghetti Knob in South Newport. Their childhood memories of the people on "The Hill" and the Italian community inspired this book. Pam worked 28 years at Cincinnati Bell Telephone, retiring in April 2001. Phil retired in November 2005 after serving the City of Newport for 22 years, with the last seven years as city manager. Both serve the community through various organizations and promote their Italian heritage as members of the Newport Italianfest Committee, which organizes the activities for the four-day event. In 2006, the festival concluded its 15th year.
