Jeff Lyons is a published author with more than 25 year's experience in the film, television, and publishing industries as a screenwriter, novelist, story development consultant, and story editor. Along with his writing career, he is also an instructor through Stanford University's Online Writer's Studio, University of California at Riverside's Extension Program, and is a regular lecturer through the UCLA Extension Writers Program. Jeff is a regular presenter at leading writing and entertainment industry trade conferences. Jeff has written on the craft of storytelling for Writer's Digest Magazine, Script Magazine, and The Writer Magazine. His book, "Anatomy of a Premise Line: How to Master Premise and Story Development for Writing Success," is available now for purchase. His other book, "Rapid Story Development: How to Use the Enneagram-Story Connection to Become a Master Storyteller," will be published by Focal Press in late 2017. Stephen added the title of screenwriter to his resume when he adapted Stephen King's short story THE MANGLER for New Line Cinema, under the supervision of Stephen King himself. Stephen's next three projects were for Nu Image where he wrote the screenplays for SPIDERS and SPIDERS 2 and also directed 2nd unit on both films. The world premiere of Stephen's feature directorial debut HEADS N TAILZ was in Los Angeles at the 2005 Dances With Films festival winning the Fusion Audience Award. HEADS N TAILZ also received a Special Jury Prize from The Festival Du Film De Strasbourg. Stephen's short BINKY screened in the Shorts Corner at the 2014 The Cannes Film Festival and had its US premiere at Dances With Films. BINKY also won the Best Screenplay and Best Actress Awards at the 2014 Monaco International Film Festival and an Award of Merit from Best Shorts. Stephen's feature FLYTRAP had its World Premiere at ECU The European Independent Film Festival in April 2015 and won the Best Non-European Independent film prize as well as the prestigious Remi Award from Worldfest Houston. in addition to the Special Jury Prize at the 2015 Chelsea Film Festival in New York.
