Notă biografică

"Jazzy's Quest: Adopted and Amazing" is the creation of authors Carrie Goldman and Juliet C. Bond, LCSW, and is the first of the "Jazzy's Quest" series. Carrie Goldman is the award-winning author of Bullied: What Every Parent, Teacher, and Kid Needs to Know About Ending the Cycle of Fear (Harper Collins, August 2012). Bullied has received a National Parenting Publication Award and a Mom's Choice Award, both at the gold medal level, for excellence in educational skills and tools. Carrie has written for The New York Times, CNN, Psychology Today, Huffington Post, Adoption.net, Babble, Alternet, and more. She has made appearances on NPR, BBC, MSNBC, CNN Headline News, Fox, HLN, and numerous other media outlets. In addition to her expertise in bullying dynamics, Carrie writes one of the nation's premier adoption blogs, Portrait of an Adoption, which has followers in more than 45 countries. Juliet C. Bond, LCSW writes for children and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Her passion for stories led to her daily work as the Director of Development at Piven Theatre Workshop. In 2014, she founded her own non-profit, COPE, an organization that provides free groceries and school supplies to Evanston residents. Juliet's first book, "Sam's Sister," was published in 2005, and has sold over 50,000 copies. This book is being re-released in time for the holidays in 2016. The updated version will have new illustrations by Linda Hoffman Kimball. It will also contain resources for parents and children and be published in a soft cover to make it less expensive for families and agencies to purchase. She went on to collaborate with Newbery winner Joyce Sidman to publish the stage adaptation of, "This is Just to Say," completed a playwriting residency at Ragdale, and staged a table read of her play, "Affluenza" at Piven Theatre. The "Jazzy's Quest" series started as a collaborative work with her amazing friend and co-author Carrie Goldman. Juliet is proud to work with such a brilliant partner. They are now hard at work on the third book in the Jazzy series. This one will be set at Camp-to-Belong, a fantastic resource for adoptive and foster families.
