She and husband, Max, raised 3 children and ministered in churches in the United States, Nepal, and Canada. Susan has written poetry, articles, short stories, and now the second novel in the Journey Series. The passion to write the Jennifer story came out of working with hurting families and wanting to encourage others to befriend and help them.
