Recently, he has served in the role of General Editor for the NLT Study Bible and wrote the study materials for Galatians. Before his tenure at Tyndale House, Sean worked for several years as an ESL professor at Rutgers University, the State University of New York, and Kean College of New Jersey. He earned the Bachelor of Arts in Ancient Languages/Greek from Wheaton College in 1991 and the Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of Illinois in 1993. He now lives with his wife and three daughters in DeKalb, Illinois. John: NLT Study: Mark L. Strauss-is Professor of New Testament at Bethel Seminary in San Diego. He has a Ph.D. from the University of Aberdeen and is the author of various books, including The Davidic Messiah in Luke-Acts; Distorting Scripture? The Challenge of Bible Translation and Gender Accuracy; "Luke" in the Illustrated Bible Background Commentary; The Essential Bible Companion; How to Choose a Translation for All Its Worth(with Gordon Fee), and Four Portraits, One Jesus: An Introduction to Jesus and the Gospels. Dr. Strauss is a member of the Committee for Bible Translation, responsible for the NIV and TNIV. He wrote the Luke study materials for the NLT Study Bible. He has an active preaching ministry in the San Diego area, where he lives with his wife, Roxanne, and three children. John: NLT Study Bible: Gary M. Burge-is Professor of New Testament at Wheaton College and Graduate School. He has written commentaries on the Gospel of John and John's Letters as well as two specialized volumes on John's theology. In addition he has authored two books on the Israel and the Palestinians as well as a study of territorial theology in The Land in the New Testament. He co-authored with Gene Green and Lynn Cohick The New Testament in Antiquity. He also wrote the study materials for John in the NLT Study Bible. Most recently he has begun a series entitled Ancient Context, Ancient Faith and written its first two volumes: The Bible and the Land and Jesus the Middle Eastern Story Teller. He and his wife have two daughters.
