Journey to the Middle Cross

Autor Waitus Howard Starling
en Limba Engleză Paperback
Confusion over Jesus' "Journey to the Middle Cross" has grown over the centuries as various theological views have evolved. It seems that the further away from the events of the Gospel record we have come the more the confusion has increased. Almost from the inception of the Christian Church, on the day of Pentecost, manipulation of its Truth, practice, and history, has been common. By the end of the first century AD, ignorance and the deliberate creation of false doctrines, for whatever reason, proliferated. When Constantine, Emperor of Rome, converted to Christianity (c. 272-337), he easily married it to the myths of paganism and created his State Religion. During the more than 1600 years since then, the chasm between fact and fiction has grown. Nevertheless, God has preserved Holy Scripture down through the ages, thus, enabling anyone willing to persevere in study, to learn the truth. It is there, in the written accounts, awaiting rediscovery. "Journey to the Middle Cross" attempts to convey the purity of the Gospel record in a way that gives us a clear vision of one portion of Christ's earthly life. "Journey to the Middle Cross" germinated in the preaching of the author, and subsequent research. Its sermonic tone is deliberate; the hope is that it will affect the heart as well as the head. This detailed narration begins with Jesus' entry into Jerusalem on the colt of a donkey. Its purpose is to present sequentially each event of what we commonly refer to as the week of His Sorrowful Passion, as it actually happened, from the historical as well as the spiritual viewpoint.
