Of the many published arrangements of this popular carol, this is one of the most exuberant . . . If you like your Handel, or pseudo-Handel, to be given this sort of treatment, with organ trumpet fanfares and a grandioso final three bars, then you will enjoy this full-bodied arrangement.

Notă biografică

Antony Baldwin was born in London. His early years were spent as a choirboy at Southwark Cathedral, London. At the age of 17, he was awarded the Associateship Diploma of the Royal College of Organists, winning the prize for harmony and counterpoint, and earned the Fellowship a year later. He studied at the Universities of Oxford and Durham, and afterwards embarked upon a career in teaching, organ-playing and choir-training. Baldwin has made regular visits to the United States as a recitalist and formed his own chamber choir in California. He is currently Organist at the American Church in London.
