Junk: Junk, cartea 1

Slang for the middle of the male anatomy, Junk is a photograph book of men. Here there is no pretense that we are covering new ground. This book is simply a collection of photographs of men who wanted to, in some cases do something they wouldn't normally find themselves doing or people who wanted to express themselves without shame. To get naked for the camera can be a very liberating experience. Most models were friends or friends of friends who wanted to show off a little or have a new experience and asked to be a part of the project. I wanted to have a bit of a throwback feel to the photos. The photos aren't just about penises. There is a curiosity to each one. What's going on in the backgound? Why the expression on his face? Some of the pictures kind of take you into someone else's world. Others are just straight up close and personal.

The book really isn't about just showing off the anatomy. It's about putting yourself out there and just going for it. Everyone involved was really ready and willing to be a part of this expression of openess and freedom. Junk is both humorous and arousing. After a few years shooting these photographs, the first installment of Junk is complete.
