In the near future, the New Right Wing Party has control of both the House and the Senate, and Roe V Wade has been overturned. Abortion or anything related to birth control has been banned. Max's younger sister was raped and is now under the control of the WPCA (Women's Pregnancy Council Association) known as the pregnancy police. Max, who is only seventeen years old, is struggling to understand how the people would let the new laws of the land take control of a young girl and force her to bear a child... a child that she does not want, or in her frail condition, puts her health and life in jeopardy. Max is confronted with the age old problem: Should he follow scripture; words that were written thousands of years ago? Or should he turn to modern medicine and modern science and break away from the past. He struggles with the problem that is confronting the future of this country.
