Kathleen's life as remembered by herself. The book falls into two main sections. In the first KMB remembers her childhood as the only daughter of a Methodist minister. The second part looks at her early married life as the wife of a poultry farmer. In most of this account Kathleen is living in Bude, a place for which she had great affection. The other strand running through the book is Kathleen's love of music and the piano.
