Notă biografică
Carol Frazzetta was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She founded and operated Staten Island's first and longest running cooking school, Carol's Cuisine, where she was the head instructor for over forty four years. She was the owner and executive chef of Carol's Cafe, a critically acclaimed fine dining restaurant for twenty two years. She is the author of Carol's Cafe Pasta Sauces. The prestigious Zagat Restaurant Guide called Carol's Cafe the best restaurant Staten Island has to offer. Carol's Cafe was also listed in the Michelin Red Guide. Her recipes also appear in the James Beard Celebration Cookbook and the International Association of Cooking Professionals Cookbook. Frazzetta's biography was featured in the 2004-2005 edition of The International Who's Who of Chefs. Frazzetta was the first female chef to prepare and serve dinner at the prestigious James Beard House, for a private party of 90 guests. In 2011, Frazzetta was featured as a guest chef for a fundraising event hosted by then-Mayor Michael Bloomberg to aid in the restoration of Gracie Mansion. Her culinary education includes The Cordon Bleu, London; La Varenne, Paris; Marcella Hazan's School, Italy; John Clancy's School of Baking, New York City; Wilton School of Cake Decorating, Chicago; The Culinary Institute of America; The New School, New York City; L'Academie de Cuisine in Bethesda, Maryland; and Windows on the World, New York City. Carol is the mother of three and the grandmother of four. She is now retired and currently resides in Staten Island with her Yorkie, Meatball.
