Koloniale Zeiten, Globale Zeiten: Geschichtsschreibung und imperiale Weltgestaltung

Sebastian Conrad is professor of global history at Freie Universität Berlin. His work has focused on issues of coloniality/postcoloniality, global history, intellectual history, the history of nationalism, and theory of history. At the Free University, he directs the MA program "Global History" and the graduate school in "Global Intellectual History". His publications include "What is Globald History?" (Princeton University Press, 2016), "An Emerging Modern World, 1750-1870" (Harvard University Press, 2018, edited with Jürgen Osterhammel), and "German Colonialism: A Short History" (Cambridge University Press, 2012). His book "Die Königin: Nofretetes globale Karriere" will come out in German in 2024 (Propyläen).
