Long ago, in the time of knights in shiny armor in old England, Anna lived on a little farm. In the evenings she roamed the fields astride her big horse, Lark. But she soon became uneasy and felt strange eyes watching them, eyes that burned like embers. Who was this ghostly apparition? What did it want with them? Heroic Lark is soon spirited away and Anna follows him into the night . . . and into a world of fog and shadows.
