Her quest to be an all-rounder in the industry inspired her to alternate various positions and roles in the respective hotels, restaurants and other are-as she worked in the industry.Heughette then progressed to work as a Catering Supervisor with the Civil Service Catering Organization in London where she undertook various company training schemes. She later went to Ghana and worked with the Inspectorate and Training Division of the Ghana Tourist Board respectively. After sometime, she left the Ghana Tourist Board and established her own business as a registered consultant offering advice to proprietors in the industry. She also trained staff on and off the job, organizing workshops several times for all categories of personnel in the industry. In the last few years, she has spent more time travelling, and researching the latest developments in the industry.
