Bill Alden, chairman and CEO, Drug Enforcement Administration Educational Foundation; retired DEA Special Agent, Former Deputy Director for DARE America
"At last! A book about substance abuse that recognizes the need for a comprehensive community approach addressing prevention, intervention and treatment, and a system-wide approach, incorporating youth and adult prevention organizations, law enforcement, the courts, education and awareness programs, treatment and legislation. Dr. Anderson recognizes that success in dealing with problems associated with alcohol and other drug use depends on incorporating a wide variety of community actors, and the experience they have gained over the years."
