Mahmood Alam is presently working as an Assistant Professor of Persian in the Department of Asian Languages, School of Arab and Asian Studies, English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. His areas of specialization include Indo-Persian literature and codicology. He has been a visiting scholar to universities across the UK.
