Alain Beltran est historien, directeur de recherche au Centre National de la Recherche scientifique, membre de l'UMR SIRICE, commune aux universités Paris-Sorbonne et Panthéon-Sorbonne. Ses recherches portent essentiellement sur l'histoire de l'énergie depuis la fi n du XIXe siècle, l'histoire d'entreprise, l'évolution des grands services publics et l'innovation.
Alain Beltran, Historian, is Professor and Research Director at National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), and member of UMR SIRICE (Panthéon-Sorbonne and Paris-Sorbonne). His main research fields are history of Energy XIXth-XXIst centuries (oil and gas, electricity, energy savings), business history (especially state-owned companies), technical networks and territories, and innovation history.
