The book contains short stories-memories by former surgeon, head of the children's hospital trauma department in Moscow, Russia. The author tells about his war-time childhood, his inventions in the field of medicine, about his experience as a surgeon in Siberia and Moscow, his work as a doctor-volunteer in Armenia, after Spitak earthquake of 1988, and about his present-day life in California.
