Recenzii
Reviews from the cloth edition: ..."Life Itself" is a wonderfully readable digest of everything currently known about the mechanisms by which living cells perform their myriad tasks.... My Rensberger has chosen his topic well...
Rensberger's wonderment and enthusiasm because it literally leaps off the page. It is all good, clean fun and, in truth, a remarkable achievement for a non-professional...it is hard to imagine a better way to convey to students the thrill of looking down a microscope at a living cell-and they get a pretty respectable introduction to cell structure and function thrown in for good measure.
This is an amazing book, written in a very simple language and not so much for expert scientists but rather for boys and girls of scholar age or for adults wanting to extend their scientific knowledges and culture ... excellent, highly attractive vulgarization book which will have a great success in all media.
