It was a bright sunny morning when Little Birdie broke out of his shell. He was barely an inch long with hardly any feathers. His nest near the top of a tall tree was in a dense forest. With all the insects and worms that Mama Bird was feeding him, Little Birdie was growing up every day. More and more feathers were starting to cover his body.
