Notă biografică

Altovise Ferguson is a native of Gary, Indiana. She began her career as a dancer, under the instruction of the late Corine Morse Williams and started singing at the age of 10. Soon she discovered the world of modeling at John Robert Powers in Chicago Illinois. She was chosen to participate in the International Talent & Modeling Association in New York. After graduating from Emerson Visual & Performing Arts High School in 1994, she went on to pursue a cosmetology career. Altovise became an actress with the West Side Theatre Guild. She starred in the stage plays Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Guys & Dolls. She also starred in a series of the Lyrics stage plays. In the films, Guilded Six Bits and The Ballad of Sadie Hawkins she was an actress, key makeup artist and hairstylist. Her community outreach includes being a guest presenter for youth empowerment workshops. She is also a workshop/seminar presenter for various parent advocacy issues; she presented for the Title I conferences in Gary, Indiana and Chicago, Illinois. Altovise also starred in the gospel stage play Never 2 Late. Altovise has also been seen on the Word Network. and Trinity Broadcasting Network. She was the opening act for the 2009 Epitome Awards in Dallas, TX. She is now a psalmist and praise leader at Embassies of Christ Kingdom Ministries, located in Gary, IN. Altovise is currently working on a book about her victory over cancer and a CD. Altovise had an awesome year of ministry during 2012. She sang during the inauguration of Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson. She celebrated her CD single release, "A Beautiful Life" (November 13, 2012) with Audacity Lane Entertainment. She also ministered through song and the performing arts during the hit stage play, "How the Grouch Stole Gospel" (December 2012). She was one of the Top 20 finalists during the Shine FM Radio Station singing contest. She was awarded the Gary, Indiana Stellar Award for Female Vocalist of the Year. Her success continued in 2013; she ministered in song during concerts for Yolanda Adams and Smokie Norful. She facilitated modeling classes for teenage girls. She ministered through the word of God at Davis Memorial A.M.E. Church during their "Women of Virtue" annual Women's Day. Altovise is married to Archie L. Ferguson Jr. and she is the mother to 3 children. She is currently available for singing and speaking engagements.
