A beautiful young woman celebrates her wedding and marriage to the man of her dreams only to have those dreams torn asunder by the 'monster man' who comes, unexpectedly, into her life. Her brother meets the person of his dreams, and sets off on an adventure that takes him from the backwaters of coastal Carolina through Europe and Africa and finally back home.
