Recenzii
Review from previous edition Review from third edition Each and every prison library should contain this book. It is a neverending source of information and even inspiration and, even if it does not quite make the 'essential reading' list, then it should certainly be on the 'essential reference book' list
The book manages to combine a comprehensive account of this very important, and at times quite technical, area of the law with high quality analysis of the law and the enforcement of prisoners' rights in both domestic and international law. Seldom does a text book provide so much factual information and academic commentary. Prison Law is a book without any serious competitor. Not only is it the leading authority in its field, but it is also a valuable addition to the literature on human rights generally
There is not a publication on my bookshelves more referred to than Prison Law
