Notă biografică
Kellie Knight is an author and publisher from Compton, California. She earned a Bachelors of Arts degree from CSU Fresno in Journalism and Mass Communications. She also earned a Masters of Science in Business Administration from Bristol University, where she graduated Cum Laude. She worked for more than 10 years in the freight forwarding industry but decided to pursue her passion to write. Kellie has spent the last 8 years helping to spread autism awareness and volunteering at many non-profit agencies that support autism, children and family unity. Her motivation to write her first book series about autism came from her son LJ, who was diagnosed with autism around 3 years old. She is a WriteGirl mentor for at-risk teen girls and boys, a tech volunteer with Black Girls Code, a nonprofit that teaches girls 7-17 who want to learn to code and develop apps and a volunteer for the L.A. Food Bank. More of her interests include reading, cooking, watching Raiders football, kickboxing, shopping with her two daughters and most importantly spending quality time with her family and her puppy Iris. She participates in 5K runs/walks for worthy causes and loves teaching children to use their imagination to create their own stories. She started Rolling Wheels Publishing in 2015 and wrote her fist book LJ the Little Knight: The Battle of Autism. The 2nd book in the series released December 2017 and it is called LJ the Little Knight vs. Billy the Bully. She believes Bullying is never okay and hopes that the 2nd book will teach kids to be kind, be aware and do all they can to stop bullying.
