Local Inter Neurons in the Antennal Lobe of the Honey Bee: Wenn Patienten Sich Krank Machen

Autor Anneke Meyer
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 5 iul 2015
Local inter neurons make up a considerable portion of the brain. But what are they good for? What are their functions and properties? In this dissertation local inter neurons in the primary olfactory center of the honey bee are investigated by means of electro-physiology, morphology and computational analysis. Every single one of these approaches reveals both remarkable diversity of this neuron family, as well as trends to form meaningful groups.

Notă biografică

Anneke Meyer, born and raised in Hamburg, wondered already as a child why Maya the bee has only four legs. After her biology studies, she took the chance to turn to other, pressing honey bee issues. In her dissertation she investigates local inter neurons in the primary olfactory center of the furry honeymakers.
