Loki, the Norse god of Mischief, came to a very bad end. He was condemned for all eternity to lay chained to a rock with a serpent dripping acidic venom onto his face. Only his loyal wife, Sigyn, could give him moments of relief by holding a bowl between Loki and the serpent. Sigyn was then herself condemned to live forever in Hell, sacrificing willingly for her love of Loki. This a fantasy, loosely based on Norse mythology, telling an imaginary tale of Loki and Sigyn as children and adolescents coming of age in Asgard.
