When Ben and Herbie, two fourteen-year-old friends, are coerced into enrolling at Loozer Prep by their pushy fathers, they meet with one misadventure after another: a scary dorm master, unexplained faculty accidents, and bizarre student behavior. The boys suspect foul play and turn detective, only to end up at the bottom of an abandoned mineshaft. Will their oxygen run out? Will they survive to discover who's behind it all and why?
