In our pursuit to obey God's command to love one another, we have failed to first learn how to love ourselves. Matthew 22:37-39 says, "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." In Lord, Help Me to Love Me, we begin to explore what lack of self-love looks like and how it is reflected in our lives. Further, God uses author Jamietra Hennington to help us understand what true love is and how we are to apply such love toward ourselves.
