Notă biografică
Dr. Kerry Brown is a graduate in English Literature from Cambridge University, and has spent his professional career as a diplomat and academic, dealing with Asia, and in particular China. He has lived in China for over seven years, and has a PhD in Chinese history and language. He was Head of the Asia Programme at Chatham House from 2006 to 2012, then Professor of Chinese Politics and Director of the China Studies Centre at the University of Sydney in Australia from 2012 to 2015. Since November 2015 he has been Professor of Chinese Studies and Director of the Lau China Institute at King's College, London. He has published over ten books on China, the most recent of which are THE NEW EMPERORS: POWER AND THE PRINCELINGS IN CHINA (I B Tauris, London and New York) and WHAT'S WRONG WITH DIPLOMACY: THE CASE OF THE UK AND CHINA (Penguin). He has also written extensively on China for the New York Times, South China Morning Post, Daily Telegraph, Guardian, etc. He is the editor of the BERKSHIRE DICTIONARY OF CHINESE BIOGRAPHY.
