Women of the Bible are represented through a patriarchal voice. This book, which adheres to the biblical text, nevertheless gives voice to women who have none, allowing them to tell their own stories; and gives their own voice to women whose tales are told by men. It focuses on many little-known, even unnamed women as well as those more familiar.
