Land, A native of Saint Paul, Minnesota and the sixth child in a family of ten was nurtured in the ways of the Lord by his Mother, Missionary Elnora Land. Her demonstrations of godly morals, teachings and standards were key elements in the formulation of practicing wholesome living. In 1973, Pastor Land graduated from Mechanic Arts Senior High in Saint Paul, Minnesota. After working various jobs, he began his employment journey at Honeywell Inc where he served for over 33 years. While working at Honeywell and attending St. Albans COGIC in 1983 he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and Lord. Afterwards, he attended C.H. Mason Bible School in Minneapolis, Minnesota from 1985-1987 which is where he met his wife of 28 years, Shirley. During this time they raised five beautiful children. (Four sons and one daughter) In June 2010, he retired from Honeywell Inc. However, it was the call to the ministry under the pastoralship of Supt Timothy L. Barge who was his mentor and confidant that really shaped his life. One of Pastor Land s favorite verses in the Bible is Galatians 1:15-16. In 1989 Pastor Land was ordained as an Elder in the Church of God in Christ. Given the magnitude of this challenge, he realized the need for more study tools to enhance his knowledge and understanding of the Scripture. It was the ministry of Hank Hanegraaff (The Bible Answer Man) that he also credits for introducing him to the proper spiritual literature to prepare him to better equip the flock of God. After serious devotion to the word of God and grooming from Pastor Barge, he was installed as the Pastor of Saint Albans COGIC in 1997, (which is where he currently shepherds). The ministry of St. Albans is blessed to have a man who is dedicated to studying His Word while understanding the importance of holy living.
