Lovedon

Autor Marion Crick
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 29 iul 2013
Kathy was confident in her style, she had to be to meet the demands of her stretched schedule, radiant in her beauty and ready to reignite the dormant desire within her, following her divorce. The love of her parents, and of Jess, her daughter, having bridged her transition to love again. Giles, the owner of the London city Advertising Agency she worked for, was a dynamic man, doing the best he could to stay fit against the burden of his Corporate duties. He had been working too hard to see the signs of his marriage break-up, but made the best of the fall out by hiring an apartment overlooking the Thames and Tower Bridge to keep him close to work and focused. This focus had been delightfully interrupted by the vision that was Kathy from the day she had joined in the spring, Giles being unable to find the best opportunity he needed to really get to know her. The surprise date came through a tweet on him gaining London Games tickets, Giles also winning the affections of Kathy on their trip east to see the cycling, with Jess joining their fabulous day out. Her kiss goodbye telling him that they had started something special. The mixing of Kathy and Giles's lives, affections and adventures begins against the excitement of London life and the Summer Games, as they both rediscover that they are ready and can truly love again. This new shared chapter of discovery together has deeper meaning and passion, than ever experienced before with other partners, exploring each other both emotionally and physically with vigour and desire.Their love making reaches new heights and variations as they win each others hearts."WOW!!!! I really enjoyed that. I couldn't stop reading as I wanted to find out what happened in the end...and I wasn't disappointed! I look forward to more books by this new author."Mrs H, Surrey"A perfect novelette for that short flight. A simply written but heartfelt love story, set amid the evocative atmosphere of the London 2012 Games. Ms Crick should be congratulated on this first novel. I look forward to reading more of her work."Mrs T, London"With a sophisticated and yet uninhibited language, Marion Crick tells us a nice love story. A lively account that makes our minds wander through the streets of London and through romance."Mrs C, Brazil"Dirty, yet strangely romantic. A brilliant portrayal of a man and woman both trying to find love or something to that effect after divorce. The crush, insecurity and modern day rules of dating...I was hooked on Lovedon after reading a few paragraphs, desperately needing to know...would he would find his ultimate fulfilment."Mrs W, Canada

Notă biografică

Marion has now been writing for quite a few years and hopefully you have caught up with her first few books, the Lovedon series as an example. If you have already read these, don't worry; Marion still thinks there is another twist in this tale and has penned a few thoughts as she wrote this latest book. In terms of her background, the close knit community she shared with her parents and sibling were kind to her as she grew up, before finally taking the leap to administration duties in London when her experience of the daily commuter grind began. The after-work social scene was worth the hassle, let alone the elevated salary that came with it, enjoying many adventures in love before settling down, although there was not to be a 'happy ever after' just yet. Separation, divorce, grieving and re-engagement into the social scene and into dating have all been part of the kaleidoscope she calls her life. This second round of coupling reminded her a little of those first few years in London, when she began to discover herself and her physical and emotional needs. Can you reach middle age? Is there such a thing these days, and if so, how can you define this? Marion's middle age has not hampered her exploration of re-ignited love, sex and real companionship. Marion always maintained a diary, on and off. She extended this to a daily update after her initial separation, partly of the day's events, good and bad, but also of her inner feelings and the reaction of her friends and family as they evolved, and as her new love and desire exploded. Marion's diaries have many other revelations within them and Lovedon is only part of her story and the stories yet to be written.
