Brelynn's life is going in the right direction. Young, in love and living in New York City she graduates from Law school; the future looks bright and inviting. But when a diagnosis of Leukemia falls into her lap, the world around her begins to crumble, caused in part by loved ones who alternately support and desert her. Julie, her over-protective sister wants to take control, shoving Brelynn's own feelings and needs aside, even pushing away the one person her sister needs. Best friend Peter does everything he can to relieve her fears and help her to fulfill last wishes. With him behind her, Brelynn fights to take back her life, seeking help from her lover, Holden, but because of his own losses, finds that he can't be the man she expects him to be and leaves her to make the difficult decisions on her own.
