This book was written for all ages; kindergarten through college and beyond. It was written and illustrated to encourage everyone to get involved with art and with music. Madison's friends Briceida and Nguyen, who thinks he is the wind, help each other to grow up with the help of Doug the Fireman. They learn to love life, and the girls study dance while all three learn to play musical instruments. Parts of the book are funny and are based on real life. The crows sing along while Nguyen plays the violin. Fire engines and firemen help the children learn how to better understand life. The pictures in the book were chosen to help the reader appreciate art, especially painting.
