Sam's whole life is nothing but misery. He gets relief from his overwhelming emotional pain, only by walking through the Manhattan streets. The unhappy teen is plunged into a state of ecstasy when hiding amongst the pedestrians that crowd the city's busy sidewalks. Sam wants nothing more than to make his mother happy, but he just can't seem to conquer his own demons of self-doubt. He plans to make one last journey to the Twin Towers. He wants to stand right by the corner of Tower Number One, look straight up the one hundred and eight floors towards the sky, and then run away forever. But, Sam will never get a chance to carry out his plan. Elijah, a towering Rasta with huge muscles and dreadlocks, asks the young trekker to give up his sneakers. It is this act that puts the boy directly in touch with the city's spirit. Soon after this, a beautiful princess blows her enchanted breath down between the dirty limestone buildings. Her magical caress washes the whole city sparkling clean. Grasses and vines spill over the tops of the skyscrapers. The lush botanical life covers the sidewalks. Waterfalls cascade down from the roofs and crash over the curbs. Fifth Avenue becomes a rushing river. It is up to Sam and friends to save their beloved city from corrupt bureaucrats, illegal drugs, prostitution, and the tragedy of prejudice. The princess of magical Manhattan is depending on them.
