The reviews are arranged alphabetically by book title. Each 2000 word article begins with a block of ready-reference information: full book title, author, publisher and price of the work. When available, the year of the author's birth is also provided. Introductory material also includes the number of pages in the book, the type of work and the time period and locale represented in the text. There is also a capsule description of the work and a list of principle characters or personages, with brief descriptions.
