Recenzii
This book is indeed an ambitious project. It has achieved a great deal by adding rich empirical data to our understanding of the much discussed Taiwan capital phenomenon in China. It is a welcome addition to the research literature on contemporary Taiwan and China.
...the wealth of primary sources collected by the author makes this study an excellent reference for anyone who wishes to better understand the phenomenon of direct investments in China. - Philippe Chevalerias. China Perspectives. Jan/Feb 1999
The whole work is based on clear theoretical grounds and on a precisely fixed methodology. This book is worth reading for its non-conventional approach, combining the tools ofeconomic analysis, anthropolgy, sociology, regional development and geography, and for its focus on a somewhat inheeded channel of Chinese capitalism in the making. - Wladimir Andreff - Economic Systems Vol 23 No.1 March 1999
