Making Waves: Treatment, Storage, Disposal and Recycling

Autor Kenneth Pearce
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 31 oct 2008
This novel is dedicated to fellow Stylists and Cosmetologists around the world who strive in good humor to beautify the world one-head-at-a-time Join adventurer hairdresser Paul Barrington aboard the 1950's SS CHUSAN for a world cruise to include Europe, exotic Polynesia and the Far East. It happens to be the first sea voyage for our hero Paul who had just received an invitation to join the styling crew on board. So with equal parts lust and wanderlust and seeing himself as a latter day Marco Polo armed not with a sword perhaps, but a pair scissors, embarks on a often hilarious odyssey to exotic ports around the world. His adventures included assisting in the fate of a misguided stowaway prostitute, a close shave with one of the Kings Coldstream Guards, a bloody struggle with a 14' shark in Singapore and a tidal wave. A fearful moment facing an armed Maharaja's aide who becomes overly protective... plus a kidnapping attempt while ashore in Africa. Then there were The many amorous newly bereaved widows aboard who were oh, so willing. Many of Paul's adventures happened in port including an offshore encounter with Maori natives. Some embarrassing moments in a Japanese bath house when it wasn't just Paul's temperature that was rising. Paul eventually breaks the cardinal rule and falls in love with a lovely fellow crew member, Joanna Carroll, which leads to severe complications as they conduct a torrid clandestine affair. Reviews: "It kept me awake all night - in stitches." Martha Tonsing - KICU TV "I found Making Waves intertaining and fun... Norman Bloomfield - Hairdressers' Journal
