This publication is the result of the Seventh Walnut Council Research Symposium cosponsored by the Walnut Council and the U.S. Forest Service. The objectives of this and previous symposia were to bring together researchers, other professionals, and land managers interested in management of walnut and other hardwoods on their lands and to compile a proceedings reviewing the research findings from the last 7 to 15 years for distribution to forest managers who could not attend. The Seventh Walnut Council Research Symposium marks a half century long effort by the Walnut Council and the U.S. Forest Service to transfer new research information to forest managers.
