Manual of 3D Echocardiography

Editat de Eduardo Casas Rojo, Covadonga Fernandez-Golfin, José Luis Zamorano
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 27 mar 2017
This book is a practical guiding manual to explain critical clinical practice in three-dimensional (3D) echocardiography. The use of this technology has been limited to certain pioneer imaging units, but with the advent of lower cost hardware it is spreading and reaching more users that will start to use it often without previous experience or formal academic training. This title provides these readers with a full review of the features, clinical indications and methodological aspects of 3D echo in a practical, “how-to-do-it” way. 3D-echocardiography techniques are becoming more diverse, as they are applied to transthoracic and transesophageal studies, 3D-wall motion tracking, fusion of echocardiographic and fluoroscopy navigation, fusion of wall motion tracking and coronary tomography. All these aspects are described and explained deeply in this book.

Notă biografică

Dr. Eduardo Casas Rojo MD, PhD is a cardiologist in the Cardiac Imaging Unit in Hospital Ramon y Cajal (Madrid). Concentrating on general echocardiography, stress echo, coronary multislice tomography and clinical cardiology, his areas of investigation include: tissue Doppler, 3D echo and 3D-speckle tracking echocardiography, and fusion of 3D-ST and CT. Dr. Covadonga Fernandez-Golfin MD is coordinator of the Cardiac Imaging Unit in Hospital Ramon y Cajal (Madrid) and a specialist in echocardiography and also an experienced researcher in cardiac MR. Dr. José Luis Zamorano Gómez MD, PhD. Head of Cardiology. Hospital Ramon y Cajal (Madrid, Spain). Dr. Zamorano is one of the leaders of international cardiology and cardiac imaging research.

Textul de pe ultima copertă

This book is a practical manual to explain critical clinical practice in three-dimensional (3D) echocardiography. The use of this technology has been limited to certain pioneer imaging units, but with the advent of lower cost hardware it is spreading and reaching more users that will start to use it often without previous experience or formal academic training.

Manual of 3D Echocardiography provides readers with a full review of the features, clinical indications and methodological aspects of 3D echo in a practical and methodical way. These techniques are becoming more diverse, as they are applied to transthoracic and transesophageal studies, 3D-wall motion tracking, fusion of echocardiographic and fluoroscopy navigation, fusion of wall motion tracking and coronary tomography. All these aspects are described and explained deeply in this book and hence this will be of value for all training in or who want to understand better the technique and how toapply it.

Caracteristici

Takes a granular methodology to 3D echo, defining the role of the modality in a practical, didactic approach Covers the practice of 3D echo for those without prior experience Shows readers the important features, clinical indications and methodological aspects of 3D-echo
